Seeking patients diagnosed with rare or autoimmune diseases!

Living with a rare or autoimmune disease? A simple blood sample can support Biobank.ro research.

Biobank.ro is Romania’s first private biobank, built on a federated data network and a privacy-by-design architecture, with a primary focus on rare and autoimmune diseases. Established by Egnosis and Pro-Vitam, it is designed to support secure, collaborative, and high-impact biomedical research. While the new biobank headquarters is being designed, research activities are already underway.

At this stage, we are seeking patients diagnosed with rare or autoimmune diseases who are willing to contribute a small blood sample and associated medical data. The goal is to develop a valuable research resource that can support a better understanding of these diseases and help identify more effective treatments.

Participation is voluntary. As a token of appreciation, participants benefit from a free set of laboratory tests and, where medically indicated, genetic testing, within the limits of available resources. Sample collection is conducted at Pro-Vitam clinics (Sfantu Gheorghe and Târgu Secuiesc) and the Promedical Center (Cluj-Napoca).
