Forging Tech Talent: Egnosis Summer Internship Program

Summer is about hot weather and fresh lemonade. At Egnosis, it also means a fresh addition to the team – and the return of our Summer Internship Program. Every summer, our average age drops noticeably, even if only for a little while, as our interns bring curiosity, energy and new perspectives to the office.

This summer, four standout students from the University of Babeș-Bolyai earned their place in our internship program, rising above a sea of applicants. Rather than assigning routine tasks, we gave them what a meaningful internship should offer: the chance to work on real projects, in a professional setting, with genuine challenges and tangible results.

Two teams. Two projects. Real challenges.

Working in two-person teams, our interns took on two development projects. One team worked on the further development of an internal platform focused on People Analytics, while the other built a prototype for a shipment tracking application.

Both projects pushed these second-year students beyond their comfort zones. They navigated complex requirements, developed practical solutions and turned their ideas into working results.

By the end of the program, both teams had met the defined requirements and presented their work to the Egnosis team. Their mentors had plenty of positive feedback to share – and the interns themselves came away with new skills, insights and experience.

What makes the Egnosis Summer Internship Program different?

One thing stood out above all: working on a live project in a real company environment exceeded their expectations.

The interns encountered technologies, development processes and ways of working that went beyond their university experience. They learned what it means to work with real requirements, collaborate within a team and present their results to experienced IT professionals.New connections, conversations with experienced colleagues and professional guidance also made the internship a valuable part of their summer.

For us, an internship is much more than a summer program or a way to pad a CV. We believe tomorrow’s professionals are shaped by the opportunities they receive today. That is why we keep the number of internship places limited. We prefer to work closely with a select group of students and give them a meaningful experience rather than a program based on observation. Outstanding interns may also be considered for future roles or collaborations with Egnosis.

And while technology keeps evolving, there is something uniquely valuable about watching a curious, determined young professional take on a challenge, learn from it and find their own way forward.
