Epic Adventure at the Seven Ladders Canyon

Last week, while chasing the last warm sunbeams of summer, we finally conquered a long-awaited target, the Seven Stairs Canion. The one-day activity was great outdoor teambuilding, spiced with stunning surroundings, climbing, rappelling, and delightful chattering.

Nestled in the Piatra Mare Mountains at 948 meters above sea level, this limestone canyon boasts high valleys and fascinating waterfalls. The name “Seven Ladders” comes from the seven natural steps formed by rock shifts over time. When the Seven Ladders stream swells, these steps transform into stunning waterfalls that are both fierce and serene. Inside the canyon, seven steps await, ranging from 2.5 to 15 meters tall, which turn into cascades when water flows at full force.

Fun fact: According to research by geologists, the 7 Ladders Canyon dates back to the Mesozoic era when the earth was home to dinosaurs. After recovering and examining several fossils, it was concluded that the lower part of the canyon dates from the Jurassic period and the upper part from the Triassic period. In other words, dinosaurs once lived here.

After crossing the canyon, we returned to the base using the 4 km long zip-line pitch of 37 cableways. We went down the rope course in teams of four, and although almost every group had at least one colleague who had a fear of heights, the rappeling was child’s play, as in an entertaining team, the altitude just adds to the spirit of the game.  

After the adrenaline-charged physical activities, we enjoyed a good lunch and a break in the restaurant of the very nearby M7 Villa, where we also enjoyed a meaningful discussion on burning topics related to visions of the future.

What more can we say? Once again, we had a great time in the company of our colleagues, and the day spent in a natural and picturesque scenery was a recharging experience for all of us. Egnosis team-building Canionul Sapte Scari was exhilarating! We can only recommend this hiking trail!
