Egnosis wins first prize again at Gala TOP 2025

At the Gala TOP 2025 of the Covasna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI Covasna), Egnosis once again won first place in the Small Business IT & High-Tech category, continuing an unbroken streak of awards every year since 2016. This consistent recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership in IT and research-driven solutions.

The economic landscape of Covasna County in 2024

At the Gala, CCI Covasna President András-György Edler presented the latest 2024 economic indicators, offering valuable insights into the county’s economy.

Industry and commerce together account for more than 70% of the county’s turnover, followed by services (14.9%) and construction (5.93%). Agriculture and tourism also play notable roles. By contrast, research, development, and high-tech represent only 1.95% of the business landscape — yet this sector consistently generates some of the most significant long-term value.

While research, development, and high-tech firms represent less than 2% of all companies, they account for 35% of overall profitability, far surpassing traditional industries such as commerce, construction, or agriculture. This confirms the sector’s strategic importance and its potential to drive long-term growth — a point we have highlighted in our previous article as well.
